9 January & February 2020 Beauty Launches That Have Me Glowing

Share

As someone whose job requires me to take a ton of photos, I’m always on the hunt for new beauty products to up my game. Whether I grab a new concealer, cleanser, or even a lip balm, finding the right mix of products can really determine how confident I feel and look. That’s why these January and February 2020 beauty launches are so exciting. Not only are they fabulous products that made a great first impression, but they’re ones that I know I’ll be using in my beauty routine for a long time.

Here are some of my favorite beauty releases from the first part of the year.

Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer

Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer

There are a million concealers on the market to choose from, but this one really stood out to me. It’s a super light formula that feels totally weightless on my skin, it never cakes up no matter how much I use, and it blends out like a dream. But the best part about this is that you only need a tiny dot of product on each under eye to cover the whole area, so I know my tube will last me forever.

Haus Laboratories Le Monster Matte Lip Crayon

Haus Laboratories Le Monster Matte Lip Crayon

I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of this product before it launched, and let me tell you — Lady Gaga popped off. This product takes everything you love about matte liquid lipsticks and bullet lipsticks and put them together into one creamy crayon. It looks and feels effortless on the lips, and allows you to draw your shape exactly the way you want it. And with shade options ranging from hot pink to deep maroon, this lippie has easily become one of my favorite 2020 beauty launches so far.

Summer Fridays Super Amino Gel Cleanser

Summer Fridays Super Amino Gel Cleanser

I’m always on the hunt for a good daily face cleanser that I can use both morning and night, and this one from Summer Fridays has answered all of my prayers. It has a beautiful gel texture that feels soft and luxurious on the skin. With this product, I’m able to wash my face and completely get all of my makeup off without having to prep with a micellar water or cleansing oil before, which eliminates some pesky steps from my routine. It leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean without ever feeling stripped of oils or nutrients. I’ve only been using it for a couple weeks, but I’m already a huge fan.

Tatcha Liquid Silk Canvas

Tatcha Liquid Silk Canvas

Like the Haus Labs lipstick, I was thrilled to get to try out the new Tatcha Liquid Silk Canvas primer before its launch. I was already a fan of the original Silk Canvas primer, which helps mattify my skin and control oil around my cheeks and T-zone, so I was really excited to experience it in liquid form. While the liquid one has the same blurring effect as the solid, I love that this one has a little bit of a more natural satin finish. It makes my skin look like porcelain with or without makeup on top of it, and it protects my skin from environmental stressors throughout the day.

Living Proof Restore Repair Mask

Living Proof Restore Repair Mask

Between blowdrying, curling, and straightening my hair, I’m constantly using heat to style it, which can lead to a ton of damage. My thick, coarse hair needs some love every once in awhile, so the new Living Proof Restore Repair Mask has been a total life saver. It’s one of my favorite 2020 beauty launches so far because of its ability to transform my dry, damaged hair into silky luxuriousness that looks and feels so healthy. My hair feels softer and smoother after just one application, and it’s hard for me to not use it every single day.

Versed Baby Cheeks All In One Hydrating Milk

Versed Baby Cheeks All In One Hydrating Milk

I know how difficult it can be to set up a quality skincare routine without breaking the bank, which is why I’m so in love with Versed. The brand is certified clean at Target, cruelty-free, fragrance-free, dye-free, and vegan — but the best part is that all of their products are under $25. This hydrating toner is a great multitasking product, simultaneously cleansing, hydrating, and refreshing the skin. You can use this at any time of the day (I especially love using it as a quick cleanse before and after a workout).

Fenty Beauty Full Frontal Volume, Lift & Curl Mascara

Fenty Beauty Full Frontal Volume, Lift & Curl Mascara

It’s hard to get excited about a mascara, but of course, Rihanna was able to make one that has become one of my favorite 2020 beauty launches so far. While the formula does exactly what it says it will do — volumizes, lifts, and curls your lashes — but the brush is the true hero of the product. With a flat front and back and thin sides, the brush really allows you to wiggle into the lash line to get a gorgeously full look. The brush evenly distributes product around the hairs so you leave with beautifully fanned lashes.

Nars Afterglow Eyeshadow Palette

Nars Afterglow Eyeshadow Palette

I’m totally aware of the fact that no one needs another eyeshadow palette in their collection, but this new one from Nars is beyond gorgeous so I couldn’t resist including it on this list. Like all other Nars eyeshadow palettes, the powders are buttery and so easy to blend, and of course, the colors are ones that will become staples in your routine. There are also a few standouts, like the orangey-copper shimmer and hot magenta satin shades, that can help you create really unique eye looks.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Lip Pop

During these cold winter months, lip hydration is key. Most lip balms don’t offer enough glam for my taste, and lip gloss is a no-go because the wind makes my hair stick to my lips. But this new lip balm from Glow Recipe is my new fave. It exfoliates your lips as you apply it so you can get rid of the chapped skin, then the scrub melts into a transparent balm that slowly shifts into a light pink shade. It’s the perfect one-stop-shop for a natural looking lip.
